SHANGHAI, June 4, 2007 – Tickets for the NBA China Games 2007 – the opening game in Shanghai, which features a match-up between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic - will go on sale Sunday, June 10 in Shanghai, it was jointly announced today by the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Shanghai Administration of Sports. The two teams are scheduled to meet at the Qizhong Forest Sports City arena on Wednesday, October 17 at 8:00p.m.

Dwight Howard, center of the Orlando Magic, is scheduled to be in China from June 4 to 10, to participate in a series of events to meet fans, attend marketing partner events, and participate in an event to launch the ticket sales of the NBA China Games 2007. Six members of the NBA Fan Patrol will also be in Shanghai to add to the festivities and greet fans in Shanghai..

With tickets in high demand for the NBA’s first game in China in three years, the league will place limits on the number of tickets fans can buy. Fans will be able to purchase up to four tickets per transaction per each identity card. The NBA will make available specially priced student tickets for RMB200 and each student will be able to purchase a maximum of 4 tickets per student identity card.

Fans will have a variety of ways to purchase tickets for this historic competition. Tickets can be purchased at EMMA Ticket website (www.emma.cn), EMMA Ticket national call center (hotline: 400-707-9999), the Shanghai Stadium box office, and specific East Ticket Box Offices in Shanghai this Sunday beginning at 10am. The four East Ticket box offices are located at the Shanghai Grand Theatre Box Office, Xintiandi Box Office, Ganghui Box Office and Pudong Zhangjiang Box Office.

To prevent counterfeit tickets and protect the interest of fans at the time of purchase, fans will be given vouchers to be redeemed for actual game tickets closer to the game date. The redemption process will be announced at a later date.

The NBA China Games 2007 are comprised of three games featuring the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Orlando Magic and the China Men’s National Team. NBA China Games 2007 will tip off on Oct. 17 with a game between the Cavaliers and the Magic in Shanghai at the Qizhong Forest Sports City arena with a capacity of 13,708. The event will then head to Macao where there will be two games at the new Venetian Arena with a capacity of 15,000. On Oct. 18, the Magic will take on the China Men’s National Team, and a rematch between the Magic and the Cavaliers will take place on Oct. 20.

All three games will be carried live on CCTV 5 and Great Sports Channel of SMG, and televised to more than 200 countries around the world.

NBA China Games 2007 will be the league’s second set of preseason games in China. In 2004, the NBA became the first American professional sports league to stage games in China, with two matchups between the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings in Shanghai and Beijing. This year’s game between the Magic and the China Men’s National Team also will mark a special milestone in the NBA’s long-standing relationship with Chinese Basketball. The Magic will follow the Washington Bullets (now the Wizards) as the second NBA team to play a game against the Chinese National Team in China. The Bullets traveled to China in 1979 to play two exhibition games against the Chinese National Team.
