CLEVELAND, OH - January 7, 2011 - Cavaliers Hall of Fame radio announcer Joe Tait underwent successful double by-pass heart surgery and an aortic valve replacement today at The Cleveland Clinic. The surgery was performed by Dr A. Marc Gillinov.
Joe is on his road to recovery and will be monitored in the cardiac intensive care unit for several days. His status will be updated as appropriate.
Joe and the entire Cavaliers organization continue to thank the many fans, broadcasting colleagues and the NBA community around the league that have expressed their well wishes and good thoughts during this difficult and challenging time.
