Cavs Welcome Fans “Home” for the Holidays to Tip Off the 2011-12 Season at The Q

CLEVELAND, OH - December 21, 2011 - There’s no place like home for the holidays, and for the Cleveland Cavaliers and their fans, it will be a sweet homecoming at The Q when the team officially tips off the 2011-12 season on Monday, December 26th vs. the Toronto Raptors at 7:00 p.m. The evening will be filled with everything that makes attending a Cavaliers game an incredible fan experience, combined with the excitement and anticipation of seeing the Cavs’ new team take to the home court in the first game of regular season play.

In what is planned as a night of “FANDEMONIUM” to celebrate the best fans in the NBA, everyone in attendance will receive a Cavs t-shirt presented by The Cleveland Clinic, and a Cavs 2011-12 magnet schedule presented by NTB. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for fans to enjoy all the pregame hoopla with concourse activities that feature interactive games, Scream Team performances, hair and face painting, sign making and more!

Throughout the night the Cavs award-winning game presentation featuring entertainment teams the Cavaliers Girls, Scream Team, mascots Moondog and Sir C.C. and in-arena hosts Ahmaad and Nicole together with the key ingredient—Cavs fans—will create the well-known electric atmosphere inside The Q.

Single game tickets for the December 26th home opener and all regular season home games start at just $10 and are on sale now. The game will be televised in high definition on FOX Sports Ohio with play-by-play announcer Fred McLeod and game analyst Austin Carr. Fans can also tune in to hear the new broadcast team of play-by-play announcer Jon Michael, color analyst Jim Chones, and studio host Mike Snyder, as they call their first regular season Cavs game on flagship station News Radio WTAM 1100 AM, Akron’s AM 1590 WAKR and across the Cavaliers Radio Network.
