It’s Time to “Get Pumped” as the Cavaliers Get Set to Tip Off the 2008-09 Season

CLEVELAND, OH - October 27th, 2008 - The Cavaliers will face the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2008-09 season home opener this Thursday, October 30th at 7:00 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena. Tickets are available for the opening night of what looks to be a season of excitement and adrenaline-filled action, so - GET PUMPED!
Fans can celebrate the start of Cavs basketball at the FS Ohio Fan Fest that will take place on Gateway Plaza from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will be interactive games, special performances by the Cavalier Girls and Scream Team and more. The FS Ohio pre-game show, “Cavaliers Live” presented by Conrad’s Tire Express and Total Car Care will also be broadcasting live with hosts Jeff Phelps and Cavaliers great Campy Russell from the plaza from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Inside The Q, every fan in attendance will receive TWO GREAT GIVEAWAYS - a Cavaliers “Get Pumped” Magnetic Schedule presented by Ticketmaster and a Cavs Rally Towel presented by Kia Motors. Additionally, the concourse will be full of activities, including “trick or treating” for kids to celebrate Halloween!
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. tipoff. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at cavs.com, by phone at 800-820-CAVS, at the Quicken Loans Arena box office and all Ticketmaster retail locations.
