The Cavaliers will begin their 19th playoff appearance in team history today against the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the 2015 NBA Playoffs First Round. Tipoff is at 3:00 p.m. ET.
During the 2014-15 regular season, the Cavs went 31-10 (.756) at Quicken Loans Arena, which was the 10th time in Cavs history reaching 30 home wins, while also tying for the fifth-best home record in the NBA in 2014-15. Cleveland won a season-high 18 straight games at The Q from January 19th through April 5th, the team’s 3rd-longest home win streak in team history. The 53 wins on the year was the 6th-most in team history.
Boston finished the regular season with a 40-42 record to secure the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Celtics possess a balanced scoring attack as six players averaged double figures during the regular season (Isaiah Thomas 16.4, Avery Bradley 13.9, Jared Sullinger 13.3, Brandon Bass 10.6, Kelly Olynyk 10.3, Tyler Zeller 10.2).
