CLEVELAND, OHIO - October 15, 2008 - Fox Sports Ohio announced today its wire to wire coverage of Cleveland Cavaliers basketball with 70 regular season games beginning with the home opener against Emeka Okafor and the Charlotte Bobcats on Thursday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. Steve Liverani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Fox Sports Ohio, made the announcement.

Sixty-five of Fox Sports Ohio’s 70 games will be featured in high definition this season. The 65 HD games are more than double that of last year’s 32 games. Please see the schedule below for the designated games in HD.

As part of the ongoing television agreement with the Cavaliers, WUAB Channel 43 will once again simulcast five Fox Sports Ohio games throughout the season.

Cavaliers legend Austin Carr will once again handle the color analysis for the entire 70-game schedule. Carr will join veteran play-by-play man Fred McLeod on the floor for his third season with Fox Sports Ohio.

Fox Sports Ohio continues its comprehensive coverage of the team by bringing back Cavaliers Live, providing fans with commentary, features, and in-depth pre-game coverage of the Cavaliers 30 minutes prior to every Fox Sports Ohio telecast. The KIA Halftime Report also returns during all games this season on Fox Sports Ohio.

Cavaliers Live, presented by Conrad’s Tire Express and Total Car Care, returns following each game telecast. Host Jeff Phelps and Cavaliers great Campy Russell will provide features, highlights, player interviews and analysis immediately after the game.

Rounding out Fox Sports Ohio’s coverage is Access Cavaliers, a Cavaliers-produced show featuring all the behind-the-scenes information a true fan needs.

“The Cavaliers have become one of the must-see teams in all of sports”, said Liverani. “And Fox Sports Ohio is proud to once again be the only network to deliver 70 games; plus all of the in-depth coverage that Cavs fans from across the state cannot find anywhere else.”
