Cavaliers Fan Guide to the Playoffs

CLEVELAND, OH - April 16th, 2009 -After a record-breaking, history-making regular season, the Cleveland Cavaliers are set to continue their journey to bring home an NBA Championship as the 2009 Playoffs begin this weekend at Quicken Loans Arena. The first of two home games (in a best of seven series) against the Detroit Pistons is on Saturday, April 18th at 3:00 p.m. and will be broadcast exclusively on ABC. Game 2 is on Tuesday, April 21st at 8:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on TNT and locally on Fox Sports Ohio. All Cavaliers 2009 NBA Playoffs games will also be broadcast on the Cavaliers flagship station WTAM 1100 AM.

With a first-ever best regular season record 66-16 (and 39-2 at home) in the NBA, the Cavaliers will have a home court advantage of 20,562 – the number of fans that have filled The Q to capacity for 38 sellouts (out of 41 games) this season, and will cheer the team on throughout each playoff game. The Cavaliers “DNA” statement of “All for One. One for All.”, now translates into the playoffs for “One Goal.” with the team and fans alike.

Fan Fest
Prior to every home playoff game, Fan Fest will take place on Gateway Plaza two and a half hours prior to tip off. The festivities will include free interactive games for fans of all ages, performances by the Cavalier Girls and the Scream Team, the Cavaliers Legends will sign autographs and there will be contests, prizes and more.

Special Giveaways
For the first home game of each playoff round, every fan in attendance will receive a “One Goal” T-shirt courtesy of the Cavs’ family of partners. Round One/Game One T-shirt is presented by KeyBank. At every home playoff game, fans will receive a “One Goal” rally towel.

When the Cavs are playing on the road, the Official Cavaliers Watch Parties will be the hot spots for fans to gather. For each home playoff game, one lucky fan will receive two tickets and will be showcased in the game. In addition, throughout the playoffs, one lucky fan will also be awarded an autographed Cavaliers player card before every home game and road game.

Sign Up to Become a Cavs Insider for a Chance to Purchase Playoff Tickets
Becoming a Cavaliers Insider will give fans the first chance to purchase any remaining single game 2009 Playoff tickets if available. All Cavaliers Insiders, subscribers to the team’s free e-newsletter, will receive an email notification with instructions of how and when they will have the chance to purchase playoff tickets. As tickets become available on a game-by-game basis, Insiders will receive a unique password that will provide access to an online order form which will detail all ordering guidelines. Tickets will be available while supplies last. Tickets for Games A and B in round one are sold out.

The Playoff Plus package is an opportunity for fans to purchase full season tickets for 2009-10. With a $500 first payment per seat, they will be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase the same great seats for every potential home game for the 2009 NBA Playoffs.
