CLEVELAND, Mar. 1st - It’s not going to be a typical night of California rolls, wasabi and sake at Sushi Rock in Beachwood on Wednesday, March 14th. The popular eastside restaurant has teamed up the Cavalier Girls to host a special fundraiser to benefit the Cavaliers Youth Fund, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation.

The specialty will feature the Cavaliers Girls modeling clothing from some of Cleveland’s high-end boutiques in a fashion show at 7:30 p.m. and then serving up cocktails as celebrity bartenders from 8 p.m.-11 p.m.

The fashions the girls will be wearing will be auctioned off in a silent auction along with Cavalier Girls memorabilia. The swimsuits worn by the cover girls of the popular Cavalier Girls Swimsuit Calendars will be framed for auction along with 24”x36” autographed mounted posters of dance team members. In addition, Cavaliers player signed merchandise will be up for auction. The silent auction will open at 8:00 p.m.

All tips the Cavalier Girls make as the celebrity bartenders will go to the Cavaliers Youth Fund (formerly known as Cavaliers Charities). Sushi Rock has also created Wine Flights exclusive for this event named for the Cavalier Girls. The Cavaliers Youth Fund supports programs designed to positively impact young people in the areas of education, recreation, employment and life skills with particular emphasis on programs aimed towards at-risk youth.

High End Clothing Boutiques are the main sponsor for the event. Participating boutiques donating fashions for the auction are Adesso (Old River Shopping Area, 19071 Old Detroit Rd., Rocky River), Kilgore Trout (Eton Chagrin Blvd., 28601 Chagrin Blvd, Woodmere), Style Lounge (1273 West 9th, Cleveland), and Winds of Change (Chagrin Falls at 37 W. Orange St.). Other event sponsors for the silent auction include Studio MZ Salon (27629 Chagrin Blvd. in Woodmere, and the official stylists for the Cavalier Girls) donated spa gift baskets and Fuzzy Pink Elephant (Chagrin Falls at 615 N. Main Street) donated complimentary classes for their new Club Cardio series and athletic wear. Music for the night will be provided by Mick Boogie, recently named one of the “Top 3” deejays in America by MTV, and the official deejay of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
