Towering over Cleveland
Giant 35’ x 25’ Cavaliers Jerseys Hang Atop Terminal Tower
CLEVELAND, Apr. 18th - Like beacons signaling to the community that something BIG is about to happen, four gigantic 35’ x 25’ Cavaliers jerseys hang from high atop Cleveland’s most famous landmark, Terminal Tower. The jerseys symbolize the celebration of the Cavaliers’ appearance in the 2007 NBA Playoffs, which begins this Sunday, April 22nd vs. the Washington Wizards at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Cavs playoff theme RISE UP! is emblazoned on the navy and wine jerseys, which are displayed front and back on each of the four quadrants of the tower. RISE UP! is a call to action for players, fans and the entire community to come together in support of the Cavaliers as they move onward and upward through the NBA Playoffs.
With cooperation from Forest City Enterprises, the jersey’s hang from above the railing on the 37th floor of Terminal Tower and drop to the top of the windows on the 34th floor, covering four floors. Terminal Tower is 708 feet high and is visible from virtually all areas of the city. When the tower opened in 1928, it instantly became Cleveland’s centerpiece.
