Cavaliers Fans BAND TOGETHER presented by KeyBank
The community-wide spirit campaign BAND TOGETHER presented by KeyBank, tips off at Game 2 of the Cavs vs. Boston Celtics Eastern Conference semifinals tonight, Monday, May 3rd at 8:00 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena when everyone in attendance receives a Cavaliers BAND TOGETHER set that includes a headband and two wristbands to wear and share with family and friends. And, in the spirit of community, BAND TOGETHER will also benefit the Cavaliers Youth Fund, a fund of the McCormick Foundation.
For those not at the game, the BAND TOGETHER gear will be available (while supplies last) beginning Wednesday, May 5th at area KeyBank branches for a suggested minimum $5 donation that will go to the Cavaliers Youth Fund. Plus, lucky fans who pick up their Band Together set at KeyBank could find a surprise inside… a pair of tickets to an upcoming Cavs playoff game! Click here for KeyBank locations.
“Band Together is a fun, easy way for fans to show the world we are ‘All Together’ behind the team and in our community as we pursue the ultimate goal of bringing home an NBA Championship,” said Cavaliers President Len Komoroski. “As we band together as a community of fans, we also have the opportunity to assist at-risk youth in our community, via the Cavaliers Youth Fund. This gives Band Together an even greater ability to have a very special impact during this exciting playoff run.”
“As Cleveland’s biggest hometown bank, Key is proud to band together with fans to show support for the Cavs while helping the youth of Northeast Ohio,” said Lisa Oliver, president of KeyBank’s Cleveland District. “At Key, we support organizations that make our community a better place to live, work and play, and the Cavs and the Cavaliers Youth Fund do just that.”
To support the Cavs and the Cavaliers Youth Fund, fans can go to cavs.com/alltogether and click on the BAND TOGETHER section to find a unique social networking website especially designed for the fundraising initiative. Those who commit to wearing their headband and/or wristband 24/7 until the end of the playoffs can create personal profiles and encourage pledges in support of the Cavaliers vying for a championship. Pledges will be tracked and posted on a leaderboard, and net proceeds from the pledge drive will benefit the Cavaliers Youth Fund. In addition, the site provides sharing capabilities with Facebook, Twitter and CavFanatic.com. It also features a “celebrities” section for entertainers, athletes and local personalities from Ohio who have decided to BAND TOGETHER for the Cavs.
