Cavaliers Youth Basketball Leagues
The Cleveland Cavaliers and the National Basketball Academy host a youth league travel basketball league during the winter where kids from third to sixth grade play in a competitive, energetic, and fun environment. Teams from all over northeast Ohio compete in this league and all elements of the league are handled by The National Basketball Academy – all you need to do is assemble your team and come play!
The league hosts a 12 game season with a league tournament at the conclusion of league play. Winners receive awards in this single elimination tournament.
All league participants receive:
- A ticket to a Cleveland Cavaliers game
- Cavaliers merchandise
- 12 weeks of league play
- The opportunity to play in a tournament at the end of the season
AAU Opportunities
For players who want to play in more advanced programs, the National Basketball Academy sponsors and develops AAU teams for a variety of different ages. Again, our emphasis is on developing the fundamental basketball skills but the more advanced players from various schools are combined on teams that play in AAU tournaments run throughout Ohio. Most of the tournaments we attend are either in northeast Ohio or within a one hour drive.
