(On tonight’s game): “No question that the better team tonight won. I think we didn’t accomplish our main objectives in the game in terms of stopping them. Offensively, I thought we suffered from the fact that we didn’t create much pace from our defense and then we just simply didn’t move the ball well and play the kind of basketball that we had to play in order to get good looks. Also, one thing that I think is critical, in terms of taking care of the ball, is giving up points off your turnovers and we gave up a lot because they are a team that pushes it at you fast when you make a mistake. So, really those are the two main things. The fact that we didn’t play with pace, particular defensively, not getting back, and we made mistakes that cost us points on the defensive end.”

(On how Washington played): “To start off, they beat us from the beginning to the end. With the 10-0 run in the first quarter, to the 7-0 run in the third quarter, they beat us in every facet of the game. Their pace, their speed and their ability to get the ball up the floor really quickly caused us problems tonight.”

(On tonight’s game): “It is one of those nights where we weren’t knocking down shots and turned the ball over a lot. You have to give Washington credit; they played a different style that we haven’t seen in a long time. At times, they went five guards and really pushed the tempo. They made us play basketball that we haven’t played all season. I give them credit, but we have to prepare for that. We know that other teams are going to watch that. I think that might be one of our weaknesses, so we have to be prepared to go against opponents like that moving forward.”
