(On making a run in the fourth): “That’s kind of what we want to see. We got desperate, we got down, so then we wanted to play harder instead of just starting out that way. We tried to make it interesting, but once they took a lead like that it was hard for us to try to come back and win that game.”

(On the third quarter struggles): “We need to figure it out. I don’t know what it is. I know the coaching staff is trying to pinpoint what the case may be. We’re doing a good job of playing great basketball in the first half and our third quarters are pretty awful right now, so we’ve got to try to figure that out.”

(On what changes in the third quarter for them): “I think when it gets down to teams putting us in the halfcourt we just have to find that continuity that we had in the first half. The things that are working, we’ve got to stick to it and continue to move the basketball. Obviously we have the talent to go one-on-one, but we want to get away from that and save that for the fourth quarter only when we need to be in that mindset. Coming off pick-and-rolls, I tried to do it in the fourth quarter where I turned the ball over one time and I’m trying to throw it weak side and guys are getting good shots but we just didn’t hit them. When that happens I take it upon myself sometimes to go and be aggressive. Going to the rim was working for me, but as it gets down in the grind time, we’ve just got to find those continuity plays that we can go to.”
