Dion Waiters led the Cavs with 18 points and Tristan Thompson doubled-up with 13 points and 15 boards. The Cavaliers get a quick chance for revenge as the Sixers come to The Q on Saturday night.

A pregame anecdote ...

When people in general travel to Philadelphia, one rite of travel passage is to jog the “Rocky steps” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I’ve done it. Most of the Cavaliers traveling staff have done it.

This year, Cavs rookie – and native Australian – Matthew Dellavedova decided he had to conquer this unique piece of Americana. And when the Wine and Gold arrived in Philly on Thursday night, the man they call “Delly” did his thing.

“When I looked out the window, I saw where it was, and (it was) not too far from the hotel,” explained Dellavedova. “You know, you have to have the real experience. So after practice, (I went for) just a little bit of a jog, so nothing too serious.

“I’ve watched all the movies and so has my family – especially my dad – so they said, ‘Make sure you get some pictures or video. And I sent it back to them.”

Delly sent the video back to his family in Australia and his sister put the iconic “Rocky” theme to it.

“I wasn’t pushing it too hard,” laughed the former St. Mary’s College standout. “It was a bit of fun before dinner.”

Dellavedova was asked if he thought about taking it a step further and head to the meat locker to punch some frozen cattle.

“Nah,” replied Delly. “I thought I’d save my hands from that.“
