FINAL - IND 91, CLE 76 ... In a case of the final score not matching the actual game, the Cavaliers went toe-to-toe with the Pacers through most of the matinee, but a cold spell early in the fourth quarter sent the Wine and Gold to their sixth straight loss, a 91-76 defeat on Tuesday afternoon in Indiana. Anderson Varejao -- playing in his 500th game as a Cavalier -- finished with 14 points and 11 boards.

3:29, 4Q - IND 87, CLE 74 ... Cavs have gone cold from the floor -- now shooting 38 pct -- but still have time; Indy beating up Cavs in the paint, 40-26; Cavs have been at the 74-point mark since 6:16

6:38, 4Q - IND 80, CLE 72 ... Cavs get a break, after replay, determined that Scola shot didn't beat buzzer.

6:38, 4Q - IND 82, CLE 72 ... Cavs commit three costly turnovers (in four possessions) and the Pacers go on a 10-2 run; Jarrettt Jack hits key jumper to stop the bleeding. Andy, Waiters, 12 pts apiece.

End 3Q - CLE 66, IND 65 ... Cavs still going toe-to-toe with beasts of the East, Kyrie back on the bench, undisclosed knee injury, but should return; Waiters gets an early call in 2H and now -- along with Andy, playing his 500th game -- leads CLE w/12 points; Varejao also doubling up -- 10 reb; Thompson, 10 reb, 7 pt; Cavs, 40 pct, Ind, 44 pct; best road effort of the season so far.

1:07, 3Q - CLE 63, IND 63 ... Kyrie Irving back on the bench, smiling, high-fiving teammates. 3Q uptdate to follow.

3:27, 3Q - CLE 59, IND 58 ... Cavs right in it, but right now the story is Kyrie who may have injured his left knee after a layup attempt; he didn't get hit on the play; tried to walk it off, but couldn't; went back into Cavs locker room with assistance; will return with updates.

End 1H - CLE 44, IND 41 ... Maybe the best half on the road this year, Cavs shared the ball, have contained George, neutralized Hibbert as a defender; Varejao, 7 pts, 7 reb, 1 blk; Kyrie, 6 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast; Jack, 6 pt, 3 ast; both teams around 40 pct FG; strong effort so far.

2:42, 2Q - CLE 39, IND 39 ... Key moment in 1H -- Indy makes a quick surge to take back the lead, but the Cavs didn't let it turn into a run, Andy with a couple FT and Tristan now headed to the line; Varejao - 7 pts, 6 reb; Jack, 6 off the bench.

6:33, 2Q - CLE 34, IND 30 ... Cavs still looking good, moving the ball, everyone contributing; bench again with a big lift: Jack, 6 pts, 3-4 FG, 3 ast; Zeller, 2-2 FG, 5 pt, 2 reb; Bennett, 4 pts, 3 reb - starting to contribute, look more comfortable.

End 1Q - CLE 25, IND 23 ... Really nice start for Cavs on New Year's Eve, knew they weren't going to shoot 60 pct against Indy, but looking efficient, competitive; Miles, 5 pts, Earl Clark and Andy, 4 apiece; everyone else, except Henry Sims (1 min), got in the boxscore; Kyrie, 3 asst; Andy, Tristan, 4 reb each.

2:21, 1Q - CLE 19, IND 14 ... Good sign for the Cavs early, came out sharp, ready to compete; CJ Miles with a quick 5 points, Andy and Earl Clark, 4 apiece; Bennett, mixing it up, going to the line; neither team shooting 40 pct FG.

Pregame - Cavs close out 2013 in Indiana to face the team with the top record (25-4) and best home mark in the East (14-1). This is Cleveland's last stop in Indy, the next two meetings will be at The Q.

Since Dec. 10, Cavs are the third-highest scoring team in the East, but they'll be going against the top defensive team in the league; Coach Brown has preached drive-and-kick a lot before today's contest -- considering the Pacers' size and length around the basket; today's game marks Anderson Varejao's 500th game in the NBA; over the last 14 contests, Tristan Thompson is averaging a double-double: 13.7 points and 10.1 boards per game.

Same starting lineup today in Indiana: G Irving G Miles, F Clark, F Thompson, C Varejao
