FINAL - CLE 98, DEN 88 ... The Cavaliers went nearly wire-to-wire on Wednesday night, halting the Nuggets' win streak at seven games with the double-digit win at The Q. Tristan Thompson had a monster night with a career-high 21 rebounds to go with 17 points. Anderson Varejao also doubled-up with 18 points and 13 boards. Not to be overlooked by the bigs, Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting. The Cavaliers have now won two straight and head to Atlanta on Friday night.

Impressive 1Q in Cleveland -- Cavs getting contributions from all over, including Anthony Bennett, who flashed some nice post moves, hit a three and looked comfortable putting the ball on the floor. Tristan Thompson finished the first with NINE boards. The last Cav to grab nine rebounds in the first quarter was Denver's starting C tonight, J.J. Hickson, in April 2011. Bynum, 2-4 FG, 6 pts; Bennett, 5 pts, 2-3 FG.

5:33, 1Q - CLE 19, DEN 15 ... Good energy so far and a good battle between the two best rebounders from the Class of 2011 -- Tristan and Kenneth Faried. Tristan getting the best of it so far, EIGHT boards so far. Bynum, 6 pts, Thompson & Irving, 5 pts apiece.

Pregame - Mike Brown's pregame presser in which he talked about Anthony Bennett's work ethic, his team's pieces fitting together and what it'll take to slow down the Nuggets, winners of seven straight.

Kyrie Irving averaged 27.0 ppg against the Nuggets last season and, in the two teams' last meeting at The Q, Alonzo Gee went 8-of-8 from the floor for 20 points. The Cavs bench has scored more than 50 points four of the last six games, but the Nuggets have the second-highest scoring set of reserves in the NBA.
