3:28, 4Q - CLE 95, NYK 94 ... End-to-end action here down the stretch, Cavs take their first lead since 1Q on a Deng trey, but Jack has been the story, season-high 27 pts, has propelled 2H comeback; Knicks settling for jumpers, Cavs have shut them down defensively; Cavs now shooting 59 pct FG; should be a fun finish.

End 3Q - NYK 84, CLE 77 ... Cavs haven't had an answer for Carmelo tonight, he leads everyone with 28 pts; but Cavs did come out of locker room with a better energy, have cut 17-pt lead to seven -- outscored KNicks, 31-23 in period; Jack, 10 of his 18 pts in 3Q; Gee, 9 pts, 3 reb off bench; Waiters, 19 pts, 8-15 FG; Deng, 10 pts; both teams shooting well from floor, three-pt and stripe.

Was kidding then, but not tonight.

PREGAME ... Cavaliers come in having dropped four straight, looking to catch a red-hot Knicks team that clobbered them in their last visit to MSG. Cleveland will get a much-needed lift with Luol Deng giving it a go after missing three straight with an injured left ankle. Kyrie is still out with a biceps injury and CJ Miles, after a short stint vs. Miami, is also out tonight. Knicks riding an eight-game win streak and sit 2.5 games behind the Hawks for the final playoff spot; Cavs are 6.5 games behind.

Dion Waiters putting the caps on a very strong sophomore season. He was the East's top-scoring reserve for most of the season, is currently averaging 24.3 points, 7.7 assists and 3.3 boards in his last three starts. He had a nice rhythm with his draft classmate, Tyler Zeller -- who finished with a career-high 23 pts -- last night against Houston. Andy's rounding back into form after returning from a back injury, grabbing at least 11 boards in three of his last four games. Cleveland's reserves tallied 52 points last night, their 13th game over the 50-point plateau. Delly was a big part of it -- tallying his second straight double-double. The last Cavs player to record consecutive point-assist double-doubles off the bench was John Morton -- 23 years ago.
