FINAL - CHI 98, CLE 87 ... The Cavs cut into the Bulls 12-point lead but could never get over the hump, dropping their second straight decision at The Q. Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 22 points and Anderson Varejao doubled-up with 10 points and 11 boards in the loss. Dion Waiters scored 13 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter.

39.4, 4Q - CHI 96, CLE 87 ... Dunleavy three-pointer could have sealed the deal, Cavs need quick bucket and quick stop; couldn't get it into gear tonight; fell behind 12 in 2H and couldn't climb over the top.

Game highlight - Anderson Varejao runs the floor ...

5:50, 4Q - CHI 79, CLE 76 ... Waiters wakes up in 4Q, now with 8 pts in quarter; Cavs keep cutting Bulls' lead but can't get over the hump; Kyrie leads CLE w/22 pts; Varejao 10 pts, 9 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl.

First half highlight - Earl Clark crushes one over Nazr Mohammed ...

End 3Q - CHI 71, CLE 62 ... Tristan put-back at buzzer likely won't count; Cavs still trail by 9; Kyrie w/20 pts (21st game of 20-plus this season); 7-15 shooting, inlucind 5-of-7 from 3pt; Cavs high-scoring bench hasn't been good last two games -- came in averaging over 38 ppg, just 11 pts today, Waiters quiet again, 1-3 FG, 2 pts; Cavs shooting 37 pct FG; Taj Gibson with a career-high 26 pts to lead everyone.

2:56, 3Q - CHI 65, CLE 57 ... Bulls have been aggressors in 3Q, Taj Gibson (24 pts) just two off his career-high; Cavs shooting just 37 pct FG; Kyrie (18 pts) only Cav in double-figures; Cavs shooting even 50 pct (7-14) from 3pt range

End 1H - CLE 44, CHI 43 ... Noah dunked over Andy for CHI's last bucket (and maybe pushed off to do so), Varejao not happy with it, will go hard with his doppelganger in 2H; Kyrie leads everyone w/18 pts, Andy, 6 pts, 5 reb, 3 asst, 2 stl; Taj Gibson lead CHI w/13 pts; Noah, 10 reb; Cavs shooting 40 pct FG, 54 pct 3pt FG.

3:18, 2Q - CLE 38, CHI 35 ... Kyrie cans three straight three-pointers and Cavs take their first lead of the night -- Irving now w/12 pts.

5:56, 2Q - CHI 33, CLE 29 ... Action starting to heat up; Earl Clark with a spark off bench, 5 pts including monster jam off 3pt pump-fake; Taj Gibson leads shorthanded Bulls w/12 pts; Andy, 6 pts, 2 reb, 1 stl, holding Noah scoreless (but leads both teams with 7 reb).

End 1Q - CHI 23, CLE 17 ... Typical CLE-CHI first quarter; good D for both teams but CLE shooting just 35 pct; Tristan, 4 pts, 3 reb; Andy, 4 pts; CJ, 2 pts, 3 reb, 1 stl; Augustin leads everyone w/8.

2:25, 1Q - CHI 19, CLE 15 ... Back to Eastern Conference basketball, scoring at a premium; DJ Augustin leads everyone w/8 pts; Tristan and Andy, 4 pts apiece: CJ Miles, 2 pt, 3 reb, 1 stl.

Pregame - Cavs take on the shorthanded Bulls (minus Hinrich and Boozer) for the final time this season, looking to split the four-game series and win both home matchups.

In the last meeting at The Q, Dion Waiters led the team with 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting. He'd love to repeat that performance tonight; he took the collar on Monday afternoon vs. Dallas. Cavs big men -- Tristan and Varejao -- have had a great month and both coming off double-doubles, Tristan with four straight; Andy has grabbed at least 11 boards in 11 of the Cavs' last 12 games; duo is the second-best rebounding duo in the East (behind Drummond and Monroe); Kyrie comes in as highest-scoring PG in the East (21.6 ppg) and could get the starting All-Star nod when results are announced on TNT tomorrow night.

In Coach Brown's shootaround presser, he discusses what Deng has meant to the Cavs and what it'll be like facing his former squad. Also, what a Tom Thibedeau team brings no matter who's on the floor.

Starting lineup tonight: G Irving, G Miles, F Deng, F Thompson, C Varejao
