Cavs Nation Poll Question
What's been the most impressive Cavalier performance so far this preseason?
- C.J. Miles 18 pts vs. Bucks
In just his second preseason game with the Wine and Gold, C.J. Miles gave a glimpse into what Cavs nation can come to expect from their newly-acquired, versatile, swingman. Miles got the Cavs going early against the Bucks – canning a pair of quick treys and finishing with eight points in the first period.
The eighth-year, silky, soft-paw ended up with a team-high 18 points while netting 4-of-7 from beyond-the-arc and leading both squads with three steals. One steal led to this DUNK, featured on ESPN SportsCenter’s Top Ten Plays. In fact, Miles had two Top Plays in the Top Five with the other coming on this TOMAHAWK SLAM.
“We all are working hard every day trying to keep getting better and showing growth,” said Miles. CLICK HERE to watch the full interview with Miles following the game.
- Dion Waiters 18 pts vs. Bulls
Cavaliers rookie, Dion Waiters, seemed to relish playing in the college atmosphere of Assembly Hall at the University of Illinois. The former Syracuse standout bucketed a team-high 18 points in leading the Wine and Gold to an 86-83 victory over the Chicago Bulls. CLICK HERE to watch the highlights.
In just under 27 minutes off the bench, Waiters went a perfect 4-for-4 from beyond-the-arc, including 7-of-12 overall from the field.

- Tristan Thompson's 18 pts & 10 rbs vs. Wizards
From the opening-tip, it was clear to see Tristan Thompson was going to have a solid game. Thompson was extremely active at both ends of the floor and within the first six minutes of the game, he had recorded eight points and six rebounds. Two points and one rebound coming on this PUTBACK SLAM as called by Cavs radio play-by-play announcer, John Michael.
Thompson finished with 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds and four block shots, but had it been a regular season game where Head Coach Byron Scott wasn’t giving other big men preseason minutes, one could argue that Thompson could have put up a 20/20 game.

- Kyrie Irving's 22 pts vs. Magic
For much of the preseason, KYRIE IRVING had been looking to get his teammates involved, but against the Orlando Magic in Cincinnati, it was evident that Irving was looking to create his own opportunities.
In just 25 minutes, Irving led Cleveland with 22 points, going 5-of-8 from the field and 11-of-11 from the charity stripe to pace the Wine and Gold to a 114-111 Overtime victory.
“This is my first true preseason so along with training camp and getting my legs back, I felt good out there. The shots were just falling tonight.” CLICK HERE to watch the full interview.
