Thursday February 15 :
Hello to everyone in Cleveland...I miss you all but I must say I'm having an amazing time in Las Vegas!
This is my first time in Vegas!!! My flight came in early enough on Monday to do a little shopping before our schedule becomes completely booked! I met up with my roommate Mallory from the Dallas Mavericks who is such a sweet girl and we went to Caesars Palace. We shopped at the forum with Erica from Memphis and Jessica from L.A. Lakers. I'm very lucky to have met such amazing, fun and beautiful women. I love all the girls!!!!
Later Monday evening we finally got to meet all the girls on the All Star Dance Team. In addition to that we met everyone from the LVCVA who sponsored us to come to Vegas and Tamara Moore who is directing the entire week. They are all as excited for us to be here as we are and they are working so hard for everything to be perfect...we love them!
Tuesday morning started off with a promotion/meeting at 8 am for the LVCVA and the mayor of Las Vegas. After the brief promotion we headed straight to the arena where we practiced for about 9 hours (with breaks of course). We learned 2 routines that day with the wonderful Lori Ann Gibson, who is also a choreographer for making the band with P.Diddy. She is extremely talented and it is definitely an honor to be able to work with her! Needless to say the day ended and we headed to bed!!
Wednesday..... Three of our routines are done all together and one is split east coast and west coast. So this morning I was able to sleep in till 10am because west coast had practice. We were able to spend most of the day cleaning Tuesday's routines and learning one more...then we headed off for the Thomas and Mack Center. This is where they are hosting the actual All Star game on Sunday and the Celebrity All Star game on Friday night. They gave us court time to set the routines that we had and it was really neat to see the court. Everything in Vegas is completely covered in All Star decor! The buildings are posted with players pictures....they even have a huge statue of liberty and a lion in front of a hotel that have east/west coast jerseys on them!!! It's very exciting to be here right now and I can't wait to tell you more....stay tuned :)
