Loving Emily? Here's Even More About Her

DO YOU HAVE ANY NICKNAMES? Most people call me Em. Recently I gained a new one; Frem.

BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?  Graduating from college with a B.A. in dance and then receiving three job offers in the field in Cleveland.

A FAILURE YOU LEARNED FROM: I injured my knee freshman year of college and believed that my dance career would be over. Through perseverance, determination, and strength of friends and family I fully recovered and gained the confidence I needed to get back to dancing after a few months off. I learned to never give up on your dreams or doubt yourself. Anything is possible.

What would be your super power? Healing powers, not only to heal all of my aches and pains but others too.

What celebrity would play you in a movie about yourself: Mila Kunis

I am most proud of: My growth within this past year here in Cleveland; mentally and physically.

What is your dancing background and experience? I have been dancing since I was 5 years old. Growing up I studied ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, contemporary and tap at Center of Ballet and Dance Arts. I continued my studies at Mercyhurst University. Alongside dancing for the Cavaliers for a second year, I dance for a physically integrated professional dance company called Dancing Wheels.

Why did you decide to audition for the Cavalier Girls? In college, I danced for the NBA D-League Erie BayHawks, and my coach Holly Anderson introduced me to the organization during my senior year. I was able to come see a game and was captivated by the entertainment teams and knew right then I wanted to pursue a career with the Cavaliers.

If you can say anything to Cavalier fans, what would you say?   Thank you for allowing me to have the most memorable rookie season with the Cavaliers. You all continued to support and fight alongside the team with the most energy I have ever seen. Always pushing us all to reach our end goal of NBA Champions. I will never forget the amazing fans I have been honored to meet and talk with and I cannot wait to see familiar faces this season.

What advice would you give someone who dreams of becoming a Cavalier Girl? Work hard, stay humble, and SMILE. Surround yourself with the right tools, such as coming to workshops and staying confident during the many rounds of auditions. It's smart to be in dance class of all styles to gain technical strength while having diversity. Most importantly, never give up on your dream, do everything you can to reach it and it will happen.

What do you like most about being a part of the Cavalier Girls? Game Days! Working extremely hard with a group of talented women that are considered family, to perform for 20,562 fans for the best team in the NBA.

Most memorable Cavalier Girl moment so far? Winning the ECF and becoming the 2016 NBA Champions during my rookie season on my birthday!

Hardest part about being a Cavalier Girl? Not being able to greet every fan that we see in the Q each game. I love meeting everyone! Also, working hard to not becoming a fan and lose myself in the game especially when it becomes intense.
