On Saturday, September 29th, Tyler Zeller and his family introduced DistinXion to Cleveland!

DistinXion, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, was started by the Zeller Family and is dedicated to teaching character and life skills through high quality basketball instruction.  DistinXion offers camps, clinics, and private training to players of all ages from around the world.  Since their inception in 2010, DistinXion has grown from reaching 38 kids its first summer to over 1,000 in the summer of 2012, with most of them coming from the Midwest.

Nearly 40 children had the opportunity to play where the pro’s play, on the court at Quicken Loans Arena.  In addition to honing their basketball skills with Tyler, children also listened to stories from Tyler’s mom, Lorri, as she spoke to the children about being CHAMPIONS.  The CHAMPIONS acronym is the basis for all DistinXion camps and clinics and stands for Character, Honesty, Attitude, Motivation, Perseverance, I Am Responsible, Optimism, Network of Friends, Serve Others.
