Taking a Trip Through Cavsland

On Monday, Cleveland Clinic Courts transformed into “Cavsland” and the third and fourth grade class from East Cleveland’s Chambers Elementary School had to navigate the hardwood terrain to find the hidden treasure!

The youngsters have recently been participating in “Fairytale February” and “Women’s History Month” in March as part of the team’s Read to Achieve program, presented in association with Castaway Bay. On Monday they had the chance to take part in a real life basketball-themed fairytale.

The kids made their way through Lay-up Lanes with the help of members of the Basketball Operations staff before moving on to Timeline Trail and Half-court Charades. The students also made a stop at Athletes Isle to use their Women’s History Month knowledge. To get to the hidden treasure, they had to successfully get through Basketball Alley and finally Treasure Trove.

Cavs PA announcer Olivier Sedra and mascot Moondog were also on-hand to “assist” the students through their Cavsland adventure.
