CLEVELAND, OH - October 13, 2010 - The Cleveland Cavaliers and PNC made a visit to pre-kindergarten classes at Kenneth Clement Boys Leadership Academy and Douglas MacArthur Girls Leadership Academy on the morning of Wednesday, October 13, where they donated $1,500 to each class to go toward purchasing supplies for the students and the two classrooms. The contribution was a portion of the proceeds from the 2010 Cavaliers postseason PNC Watch Parties, and was donated in conjunction with PNC’s signature philanthropic focus on early childhood education, PNC Grow Up Great.

At the Kenneth Clement Boys Leadership Academy, Cavs in-arena host, Ahmaad Crump, and PNC Regional President, Paul Clark, joined volunteers from the Cavs and PNC to help put the students on the path toward saving money as they painted basketball piggybanks with the kids. At the Douglas MacArthur Girls Leadership Academy, President of the Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena, Len Komoroski, and Cavs PA announcer Olivier Sedra assisted the girls with their piggybanks along with the Cavs and PNC volunteers. The kids had a great time learning about the value of savings and creating their very own one-of-a-kind personal piggybank.
