Cavs Better Halves Host Fashion Presentation
The Better Halves, the wives and girlfriends of Cavaliers players, coaches, management and staff, will host the Women Want It! Fashion Presentation, at Saks Fifth Avenue. This special event, which will benefit the Domestic Violence Center, is an interactive fashion show encouraging women to enjoy a morning out with the girls and discover the “must-haves” for spring fashion. The event will be held on Friday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beachwood.

For women, it’s the perfect opportunity to indulge in a continental breakfast, check out the up-and-coming fashions and help put an end to violence and abuse. Tickets for the Women Want It! Fashion Presentation are $25 and are available by calling 216-420-2227. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Domestic Violence Center. Read More

LeBron James to Host the State Farm® "King for Kids Bikeathon"
The LeBron James Family Foundation today announced that NBA All-Star LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the State Farm “King for Kids Bikeathon” in Akron, Ohio, on June 21, 2008. The popular family-friendly fundraising event, which is made possible with the support and cooperation of the City of Akron, will recognize and reward Akron-area children who have achieved academic success, improved their physical fitness and made important contributions to the community. State Farm, the nation’s top insurer, is the title sponsor for the “King for Kids Bikeathon,” which is expected to attract more than 3,500 riders. Read More
Cleveland Cavaliers to Open Technology Lab For Students at A.J. Rickoff Elementary School
The Cleveland Cavaliers will dedicate a new technology lab to the students at A.J. Rickoff Elementary School in Cleveland on Tuesday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m. The grand opening of the Cavaliers Technology Lab presented by the Greater Cleveland Chapter of LINKS, Inc and KeyBank is part of the team’s Reading and Learning Center program and is the third center opening this season.

At the unveiling, Cavaliers mascot Moondog will entertain and the Scream Team will perform for the students. A dedication ceremony with a ribbon cutting will include Cleveland Cavaliers Legends Austin Carr and Campy Russell, Cavaliers CEO Mark Stornes, Cleveland Municipal School District Assistant Superintendent James Balotta, A.J. Rickoff Principal Dr. Robert Moore, Greater Cleveland Chapter of LINKS, Inc. April's Head of the Class and All-Star Kids Recipeint
For the month of April, Branden Nehez (left), a 6th grade student from Washington Park Community School in Cleveland, was selected as the All-Star Kids winner and recognized at the Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic game on Saturday, April 5th. More Details

The Cavaliers and Majestic Steel in partnership with Cuyahoga Community College have teamed up to award four $2,000.00 scholarships for the 2008-2009 school year to eligible applicants which include graduating high school seniors with an interest in attending Cuyahoga Community College and pursing a degree in manufacturing and also students that are currently enrolled in the Cuyahoga Community College Manufacturing Program. Danny Ferry Assists with First-Ever McDonald’s All American® Advisory Council
Alonzo Mourning, the Miami Heat center who was named McDonald’s All American® High School Basketball Games Alumni Ambassador in 2007, today announced his next steps in the McDonald’s All American Games Alumni legacy with the development of a “Three Point Mission” for the McDonald’s All American Advisory Council.

Mourning sought the help of former McDonald’s All American players, including Danny Ferry and Greg Oden, to continue shaping the future of the Games while inspiring the top players of tomorrow to champion causes like Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC©). Read More
