Cavs Brighten Spirits for Young Patients

They may not have been in a one-horse open sleigh, but they were indeed making spirits bright.

As they do every year, the Cavaliers visited Cleveland Clinic Children’s to help the young patients and their families celebrate the holiday season. The annual holiday hospital visit is the culmination of the Cavaliers Season of Giving, presented by Nestle Baking.

Head Coach Tyronn Lue, along with Associate Coach Larry Drew and Assistant Coach Damon Jones, was joined by Cavaliers players on Friday, walking from room to room and floor to floor saying hello, taking photos, signing autographs and handing out presents. The goal: to spread holiday cheer to those who need it most – children spending their holidays in the hospital.

The goal was more than accomplished, as kids, their families and players and coaches alike, were all full of smiles throughout the visit. Not only did the Cavs leave a lasting impression on them, but perhaps even more importantly, the young patients and their loved ones left their mark on the Cavs.
