To Kick Off the Fourth of July Holiday Weekend the Cavaliers and Kia Motors Surprised 100 Motorists with a Free Gas Giveaway!
Cavaliers Head Coach Mike Brown Gives an Assist Filling Tanks with Free Gas
CLEVELAND, OH - June 30, 2009 - Just in time for the Fourth of July holiday weekend, 100 surprised motorists received free gas (up to $30) courtesy of the Cleveland Cavaliers and fueled by Kia Motors. At 2:00 p.m. this afternoon, the free gas started flowing at the Shell station located at 3020 Carnegie Ave., in downtown Cleveland. Cavs Head Coach Mike Brown was on hand to fill the tanks with an assist from the Cavalier Girls, Scream Team and mascot Moondog.
Over 1,100 gallons and a value of $3,000 in gas was pumped to 100 cars. The surprise gas giveaway was the fourth free gas giveaway organized by the Cavs and Kia Motors since May 2008.
