CLEVELAND, OH - March 2, 2011 - Fluent in FIVE languages, Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Christian Eyenga joined Lake Erie Monsters left wing Patrick Bordeleau at St. Ignatius High School to visit the French Club. The pair showcased their multilingual proficiency with students of both beginning and advanced French skill levels. Eyenga is from the Congo and Bordeleau is from Montreal, Quebec, but both speak French as a first language.

After reading Shel Silverstein’s “The Giving Tree” and Maurice Sendak’s “Where the Wild Things Are” in complete French with the students’ participation, Eyenga and Bordeleau also hosted a question and answer session afterward in French as well.

Each student received a Cavaliers t-shirt autographed by both Eyenga and Bordeleau and Cavs and Monsters tickets to upcoming games.
