400 Cleveland Families Provided with Free Food from Cleveland Cavaliers and Feed the Children Organization
Cavs Forward Jawad Williams and Teammates Helped Distribute Donations at Williams’ Childhood Recreation Center in Glenville
CLEVELAND, OH - November 14th, 2008 - The Cleveland Cavaliers teamed up with international hunger relief organization Feed the Children to provide 400 children and families in need with boxes of food and personal care items on Friday, November 14th at Glenville Recreation Center. Cavaliers Forward and Cleveland native Jawad Williams was joined by Guards Delonte West and Sasha Pavlovic and Assistant coaches Chris Jent and John Kuester for the food distribution.
Born and raised in Cleveland, the St. Edwards graduate returned to his neighborhood and the recreation center he played at as a child. Williams’ teammates and coaches joined him in distributing over 40 pounds of food and personal hygiene items to pre-identified families.
