CLEVELAND, OH - April 9th, 2008 - The Better Halves, the wives and girlfriends of Cavaliers players, coaches, management and staff, will host the Women Want It! Fashion Presentation, at Saks Fifth Avenue. This special event, which will benefit the Domestic Violence Center, is an interactive fashion show encouraging women to enjoy a morning out with the girls and discover the “must-haves” for spring fashion. The event will be held on Friday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beachwood.

For women, it’s the perfect opportunity to indulge in a continental breakfast, check out the up-and-coming fashions and help put an end to violence and abuse. Tickets for the Women Want It! Fashion Presentation are $25 and are available by calling 216-420-2227. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Domestic Violence Center.

“Domestic Violence Center is pleased to partner with the Cleveland Cavaliers Better Halves and Saks Fifth Avenue on the Women Want It! Fashion Presentation to raise awareness and funds for domestic violence victims,” said Domestic Violence Center Development Director Linda Johanek. “All the proceeds will help bring women and children to safety through DVC’s shelter, hotline, and our other programs throughout Cuyahoga County.”

The Cavs Better Halves are committed to supporting the Northeast Ohio community through in-game awareness campaigns, fundraising and volunteer efforts. The group focuses primarily on issues that deal with children, education, health and women.

The Domestic Violence Center offers comprehensive, coordinated programs and services that address the immediate and long-term needs of domestic violence victims, their children and abusers.
