JR. NBA
The Jr. NBA/WNBA is a youth basketball development program which supports 1,000 recreational basketball leagues in North America and abroad. The Cavaliers and NBA provide programs and opportunities for Northeast Ohio youth basketball participants, ages 5-14, through instructional and recognition programs, player and coach appearances and tournaments.


WHEELCHAIR CAVALIERS

Each season the Wheelchair Cavaliers entertain fans across the country with their basketball skills and athleticism. The team competes at the Division III level both locally and regionally. In addition, the team visits hospitals, camps, schools and youth centers in the Northeast Ohio region to promote wheelchair basketball.

The Wheelchair Cavaliers traveled to Detroit, Michigan on Sunday February 22nd to play the Detroit RIM Diehards. Detroit edged the Cavaliers by a score of 46 to 42. The Cavaliers were led in scoring by Steve Smutak with 23 points, followed by Will Waller and Juan Woidtke with 11 and 8 points respectively.

In game two, Detroit pulled out to an early lead and the Cavaliers never recovered losing by a score of 60 to 39. The Cavaliers were led in scoring by Will Waller with 21 points, followed by Juan Woidtke and Steve Smutak with 9 and 7.

The Cavaliers traveled to Lexington, Kentucky to play in the Bluegrass Invitational which only invites the top ranked teams. The Cavaliers opened the tournament losing to Austin, Texas by a score of 74 to 32. The Cavaliers were led in scoring by Doug Dumas with 18, followed by Juan Woidtke and Steve Smutak with 8 and 6 respectively.

In the second game of the tournament, the Cavaliers beat the Siskin Rebounders from Tennessee by a score of 44 to 24. The Cavaliers were led in scoring by Steve Smutak with 18, followed by Doug Dumas and Juan Woidtke with 10 and 8 respectively.

In the third game, the Cavaliers fell to the Sixers by a score of 48 to 27. The Cavaliers were led in scoring by Juan Woidtke with 11, followed by Doug Dumas and Steve Smutak with 6 each.

The played for seventh place and lost to Moraine Minutemen by a score of 44 to 32. The Cavaliers were led in scoring by Steve Smutak with 13, followed by Juan Woidtke and Jamie Jackson with 9 and 6 respectively.

The Cavaliers play in Denver March 16 – 22 in the Division 3 National Championships!
