As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the National Basketball Association, Carol Sawdye oversees the financial affairs of the league and its related entities, including accounting, financial reporting, financial planning, treasury, tax, and managing the NBA’s financial relationships with its 30 teams.
Prior to joining the NBA, Sawdye spent eight years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. She also spent 17 years at the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, including eight years in the media and entertainment practice, with the last six years as a partner in that practice.
Sawdye is a 1985 graduate of the University of Virginia and a 1991 graduate of the Columbia Business School. She lives in New York City with her husband.
