From Elaine in Dauphin, MB:
I love the game of basketball and am completely dedicated to the sport. I've attended every practice that my high school coach has had. I try to do everything right and learn from my mistakes. But I seem to play my best right at the end of games when it's really close. How can I play my best the whole game?
You are my type of player if you are good in the clutch. Too many players worry about the score and whether they are winning or not. Your focus each and every time down the floor should be the same in games and in practice: be the best that you can be. I try to have our players not worry about the score, and focus on process. It takes mentally tough players to be able to do that, but when there are distractions and other things in your head, just focus on the process of doing your best.
