BWB Africa Through Day 2

Day 2 of BWB Africa tipped off here in Jo’burg with a Lifeskills Session featuring the Team Africa’s Nazr Mohammed and Team World’s Nikola Vucevic and Bradley Beal. The focus was on leadership, with each player sharing personal anecdotes on the importance of leadership both on and off the court.

Meanwhile, the BWB Girls Camp continued, seeing the campers run through fundamental skill development stations with WNBA Legends Ebony Hoffman, Clarisse Machanguana and Ruth Riley.

After the Girls Camp benefitted from a Lifeskills Session courtesy of Hoops4Hope, both camps broke into team practice, followed by full court 5-on-5 where the competition heated up.

After lunch, players and coaches headed to join NBA Commissioner Adam Silver at the newly built Boys & Girls Club Protea Glen Clubhouse to dedicate a new outdoor basketball court, with the support of Nike and the NBPA Foundation. NBA Legends Hakeem Olajuwon and Muggsy Bogues and players including former BWB camper Luc Mbah a Moute, Serge Ibaka, Jeff Green and others then capped off the event by hosting a basketball clinic on the court for 60 youth members of the club, making the first moments on their new court very memorable ones.

Another successful day at BWB!
