December 5, 2005—The Chicago Bulls today announced corporate sponsor Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) will honor former Bulls great Scottie Pippen with a jersey retirement ceremony at the Friday, December 9 game versus the Los Angeles Lakers. In conjunction with the landmark evening, Motorola will tip-off its season-long “Big Shot Fridays” promotion offering fans several chances to win a variety of prizes at each of seven Friday home games during the regular season.
Pippen will be honored during a half-time ceremony where his famous No. 33 jersey will be retired and a banner bearing his number will raise into the rafters of the United Center to hang alongside that of former teammate Michael Jordan and head coach Phil Jackson.
