Team to wear green uniforms in honor of holiday at Tuesday’s game

    March 8, 2007 – The Chicago Bulls are inviting their fans to join them in celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early on Tuesday, March 13 when the team hosts the Boston Celtics at 7:30 p.m. at the United Center.

    That evening, the team will wear green uniforms in honor of the holiday. In keeping with the tradition, the Bulls logo on the shorts and the back of the jersey will remain in the traditional red and black. The team will also wear their green uniforms on the road in Memphis on March 17.

    On Tuesday, fans will also be treated to St. Patrick’s Day themed festivities including the Irish Heritage Chorus performing the night’s national anthem, a halftime performance by the Trinity Irish Dancers, and a special St. Patrick’s Day dance routine from the Bulls entertainment teams, the Luvabulls and the Matadors.

    Additionally, the first fans age 21 years and older arriving to the Bulls home game will receive Bud Light St. Patrick’s Day t-shirts as a thank you gift from the night’s corporate sponsor, Bud Light. The green t-shirts will be available while supplies last. Admission gates open at 6 p.m.
