    April 17, 2003 -- Jalen Rose has been named CDW Chicago Bulls Player of the Year for 2002-03.

    In his first full season with the Bulls, Rose averaged a team- and career-high 22.1 points along with 4.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds, shooting .406 from the floor, .370 from three-point range and .854 from the free throw line.

    Rose became the first Chicago Bull since Michael Jordan to finish in the NBA’s top 15 in scoring and played a career-high 3,351 minutes, also ranking among the NBA’s top 10.

    The 6-8 forward scored 30+ points on 14 occasions and posted seven double-doubles, including his first career triple-double, a 21-point, career-high 14-rebound, 11-assist masterpiece in a victory over Phoenix on February 24.

    Rose drained a career-high 133 three-point field goals, including a career-best seven treys in a 37-point outing at Atlanta on January 20, helping the Bulls snap a 19-game road losing streak.

    In just one-and-a-half seasons with the Bulls, Rose has moved into 10th place among Bulls all-time leaders in three-point field goals.
