Boylan |
Quoting Bulls Interim Head Coach Jim Boylan
“Our guys fought back and what we were trying to say in the timeouts was let’s not panic about this let’s just try to chip away at this and we did so it was great to see our guys respond and start shooting the ball better. In the second half, again, we came out in the beginning of the third quarter and one of the things we wanted to try to do was come out and establish ourselves again and not slip back into the way we played in the first quarter we had to just keep our momentum going. We were able to do that and build our lead but we were up 16 and they turned the heat up, they are a very aggressive team. Evans is out there trapping all over the place, so we coughed it up a couple times and they made some plays. Dalembert was big around the basket tonight but we had big performances from a lot of people. Joe Smith, again, came through for us in a big way. [Nocioni] was outstanding; his intensity, his defense on Iguodala was one of the difference-makers in the game; his physical play that he came with tonight was big for us.”

Nocioni |
Quoting Bulls Forward Andrés Nocioni
On his jumper at start of game:
“Sometimes my shot is going good, sometimes bad; it’s up and down. I made shots but not the kind I would have liked to make, you know, when I’m wide open I need to make those.”

Smith |
Quoting Bulls Forward Joe Smith
On the road win in Philly:
“They came in Chicago earlier this year and took it to us so we just wanted to get off on this road trip on the right note. Whether it was me or whoever got it going on as a group.”
On observance of Sixers:
“I don’t know, that’s something where you have to be around them in order to figure out what’s going on. They played hard no matter what the scoreboard said. That’s what I told the radio people out there, no matter what the score was they kept playing and that’s what they did tonight. This game is about consistency and the more consistent you are the better team you’re going to have.”

Cheeks |
Quoting 76ers Head Coach Maurice Cheeks
“The pace of our game was pretty good as we started out. We built an 18-point lead; unfortunately we didn’t sustain it, but we knew they would make a run and make some shots. We know when (Ben) Gordon comes in the game, he’s going to make some shots, which he did, and of course (Andres) Nocioni, when he got on that little roll, I think that’s what put us on our heels. We had 10 turnovers going into halftime, putting us back on our heels and we couldn’t sustain the shot-making that we did earlier on in the game. We hung in there; our guys never give up and they just keep playing. We’re going to keep leaning on one another and we’ll get through it.”
On Sam Dalembert’s 21 points and 20 rebounds:
“Sam was good. He was good all night. He got in a little foul trouble and we had to take him out of the game, but Sam’s been playing like that. I’m sure he’d trade it for a win, but the way he’s been playing has been good and thankfully for us, he has those numbers, but we’d like to have a win.”
On his reaction to the team never giving up:
“No, I told you before. You guys keep asking me, ‘Am I ever surprised about our team?’ I’m not surprised because they go out and compete every night. Certainly we’d love to win the game and we don’t want to get down 10, 12, or 14 points, but they keep competing and that’s why at some point it’s going to turn around because they lean on one another and they keep fighting and they never give up.”

Miller |
Quoting 76ers Guard Andre Miller
On the way the Sixers have played:
“It’s a tough stretch. So you just have to keep fighting through it. We play good at times and we struggle at times. So we need to keep fighting through.”
On the most frustrating part of the game:
“The ball is just not falling our way right now, in terms of getting loose balls. We’ve played some good teams so we’ve just got to keep fighting through it.”
On losing the lead:
“It’s like that some times. A team that’s struggling like that will fight back. They have a lot of pride. They were playing some good basketball. They came back and had some big shots."
On their performance this month:
“We’re struggling but we are going fight our way back. It’s been a tough month. We fought our way back. We’ve played some good teams. It’s been a tough month. We’ve been playing some decent basketball. We’re not going to lose every game but we need to find a way to pull out with some wins.”

Green |
Quoting 76ers Guard Willie Green
On their performance this month:
“I know guys feel that it’s just one of those periods where you go through some tough games. Things are will turn for us, we’ve just got to keep playing tough basketball, pay attention in practice, and things will get better.”
On picking one weakness:
“I can’t pinpoint just one. It’s just the little things like getting loose rebounds or us being confused on rotations.”
