Dear Bulls Fan,

Let me start by saying how much I appreciate the great support Bulls fans have given me and my teammates since I've been here. Before I got to Chicago, I always heard about the huge crowds that packed the United Center every night. Now that I'm here, I've gotten to experience it first hand and it's unbelievable. It says a lot about the city and the fans -- no matter what, you will be there to back us up. Believe me, it gives us a lot more confidence every night. Your support has been tremendous.

I really feel like we're starting to come together much like we did around this time last year. Kirk and Ben have been our catalysts on the offensive end, and guys are starting to take responsibility for their roles and executing them. From a personal standpoint, I've always been a team player and willing to do whatever it takes for my team to win. My job right now is to come off the bench and provide energy -- to provide a spark both offensively and defensively.

Being from Louisiana, we didn't have a professional basketball team that I rooted for, but I kept up with the NBA greats like Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson. I have fond memories of watching those Bulls vs. Knicks playoff series. Both teams went after each other so hard -- all the hard fouls, the games were always close -- the pure competitiveness of those match-ups were great to watch. My other memories of the Bulls were Mike's championship performances against Utah those last couple years. Whenever the game was on the line, he seemed to always step up and make the big play.

I live downtown, so I've had a chance to enjoy Chicago's nightlife. All the great food and the restaurants are so impressive. Some of my favorites include The Chop House, Gibsons and Erie Café. It didn't take me long to figure out that if you don't have a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night, there's a good chance you're not eating there! When I'm away from basketball, I enjoy golf, playing video games and I'm just starting to get into tennis. I love attending other sporting events. I had the chance to go to a bunch of White Sox and Cubs games this summer. I also enjoy traveling and I am planning trips to Greece and South Africa when the season ends.

My main hobby away from the game is public speaking. I think I have a great story to tell -- about where I've come from to where I am now, and I enjoy passing my story on to kids. Was I the best player all the time? Not at all. There were definitely guys better, but there's a reason why the choices I made growing up brought me to where I am today. That's the main point that I try to get across. By doing the right thing, being around the right people and having goals, you can overcome any kind of adversity no matter what your situation is.

A couple good movies that I've enjoyed recently are Crash, Million Dollar Baby and Wedding Crashers. My favorite movie of all-time is Coming to America with Eddie Murphy. I can always laugh at that one. My favorite actors include Denzel Washington, Jaimie Foxx, Will Smith, Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford. One thing you might not know about me is that I sang in the choir in elementary school. I was pretty good!

Finally, I wanted to let everyone know how hard we're working to get back in the playoffs this year. Last year I could feel how energized the city was. The atmosphere of being in the United Center during the playoffs is something that I can't even describe in words, and it's something that we want to share with all you great fans once again.

Thanks again for your support and I'll see you at the UC soon.

Sincerely,

Chris Duhon
