Tom Dore is a 26 year television and radio sports announcing veteran who, for the 17th year, will serve as the Bulls play by play announcer for all games telecast on Comcast SportsNet.

The 7 foot-2-inch Dore is a native of Northlake, Ill. ... voted 1994 “Sportscaster of the Year” for the state of Illinois ... All State and All America prep basketball player at East Leyden High School in Franklin Park ... played center for the University of Missouri from 1976-1980 ... appeared in two NCAA tournaments with the Tigers and still holds their single-game and career tournament blocked shot record ... played professionally for one year in France, and two years in New Zealand, where he got his start in broadcasting doing play by play for the country’s professional basketball league ... upon returning to the U.S. in 1984, Tom began a five year association with the University of Texas as sports director for KLBJ Radio in Austin ... he worked for Host Communications Radio Network, did color work for the Texas A&M, SMU and Arkansas Radio Network and announced for both the Liberty and Cotton Bowls ... from 1989-1991, Tom served as sports director at KCMO Radio in Kansas City, Mo., handling play by play duties for the University of Missouri Basketball Radio Network, the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament regional games, the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four and the College World Series ... additionally, Dore was the color analyst for the Missouri Football Network, hosted statewide coaches weekly call in shows, anchored morning drive sportscasts and co hosted an afternoon sports talk show with former NFL star Conrad Dobler ... along with his Bulls play by play duties, he also serves as play by play radio announcer for the Chicago Rush Arena Football team ...
