    February 28, 2003 -- Bulls F/C TYSON CHANDLER was named CDW Player of the Month for February it was announced today.

    Chandler appeared in 13 games, making 10 starts, in February and averaged 12.5 ppg, 9.8 rpg and 2.31 bpg, shooting .555 from the floor and .645 from the free throw line in 29.8 mpg. The second-year player reached double figures in scoring on eight occasions and in rebounding on six occasions, posting four double-doubles.

    He recorded 3+ blocked shots in five games and grabbed 5+ offensive rebounds in six games. Chandler finished first in the NBA in offensive rebounds, sixth in total rebounds, fourth in blocked shots and ninth in field goal percentage for the month.

    Obtained by the Bulls from the L.A. Clippers in a draft-day trade on June 27, 2001, Chandler scored 21 points to accompany 17 rebounds and 7 blocked shots at Philadelphia on February 12. He added 19 points, a career-high 22 rebounds and 3 blocks versus Denver on February 15 and scored 20 points with 9 rebounds and 2 blocks at Cleveland on February 18.
