In an unprecedented selection, the team’s play and cohesiveness overshadowed individual performances, as the team doubled its win total from the previous season and earned its first postseason bid since 1998.

“This season has truly been a collective effort from our entire team and I think it is perfectly fitting that everyone is recognized for their roles,” said John Paxson, Bulls Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.

Team captains Antonio Davis, Kirk Hinrich and Adrian Griffin will accept the award on behalf of the entire team prior to tonight’s game against the New York Knicks.
