NBA Draft 2006:
Bulls Net Thomas & Sefolosha
After selecting LaMarcus Aldridge with the second overall pick in NBA Draft 2006, the Bulls traded him and a future second round pick to the Portland Trail Blazers for LSU forward Tyrus Thomas and forward Viktor Khryapa. Later in the evening, the Bulls acquired the rights to Thabo Sefolosha, a 6-5 guard selected 13th overall by Philadelphia, in exchange for Rodney Carney, picked at 16th by Chicago, a 2007 second round selection and cash considerations.

Bulls Grab Gordon at No. 3
With the third pick in NBA Draft 2004, the Bulls selected Ben Gordon, a 6-2 guard out of UConn. "[He] is coming off a championship season at the University of Connecticut," GM John Paxson said. "He can really shoot the basketball and break people down off the dribble. He’s eventually really going to be able to score in the NBA. He’ll be very difficult to guard one-on-one and we feel he will be a very good complement to Kirk Hinrich."
