Bulls outrun Sixers
Bulls win fourth straight, improve to 5-1 on the season
PHILADELPHIA - Mike Dunleavy scored a season-high 28 points as the Bulls outran the Sixers 118-115 Friday night in Philadelphia.
Pau Gasol scored 17 and pulled down 12 rebounds recording his 4th double double in six games this season.
The Bulls jumped out to a 33-28 lead after the first quarter in which Jimmy Butler scored 13 of his 23 points.
After trailing by as many as nine in the second quarter the Bulls and Sixers headed to intermission tied at 57, the Sixers highest scoring output in a half this season.
Chicago outscored Philadelphia 35-19 in the third aided by Dunleavy's 12 points in the quarter.
The Sixers cut a Bulls 18 point 4th quarter lead to one late in the game before Kirk Hinrich hit two free throws to ice it.
Joakim Noah tallied 5 points and 9 rebounds in his first game since Nov. 1 in Minnesota.
Next, the Bulls return home Saturday night to host the Boston Celtics.
