Bulls to open training camp Oct. 1 with Media Day

September 17, 2012 – In preparation for the 2012-13 NBA season, the Chicago Bulls will start training camp on Monday, Oct. 1 with their annual Media Day event at the Sheri L. Berto Center.

The Bulls will officially begin camp on Tuesday, Oct. 2 with their first practice. The team will then hold two-a-day practice session on Wednesday, Oct. 3 and Thursday, Oct. 4. Following a scheduled day off on Friday, Oct. 5, the Bulls will practice three days in a row, including once at the United Center, leading up to the preseason.

Chicago will tip-off its seven game preseason schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the United Center when it hosts the Memphis Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Chicago will then travel to Champaign, Ill. on Friday, Oct. 12 to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Other preseason contests include: at Minnesota Timberwolves (Oct. 13), vs. Milwaukee Bucks (Oct. 16), vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (Oct. 19), vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (Oct. 23) and vs. Indiana Pacers (Oct. 26; at South Bend, Ind.).
