Jordan scores 56 as Bulls sweep Heat

April 29, 1992 (Miami) — The Bulls had won the first two games of by an average of 24.5 points. But Miami went home for Game 3 in their first round matchup, led by 18 in the first quarter, and began to try to rub it in to the Bulls.
So Michael Jordan exploded after halftime for 35 points, 56 overall for the third most in a playoff game, and the Bulls finished the sweep with a 119-114 victory. Jordan made 20 of his 30 shot attempts, all inside of the three-point arc, and hit 16 of 18 free throws. He added five rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Scottie Pippen also turned in a big game, recording 31 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Bulls, who advanced to face the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
