2011-12 Luvabulls: Meet Pam
How has your dancing experience led you to this point?
I have been lucky enough to dance since I was a child. I participated in a very competitive high school dance team, in which we earned the title of National Champions my senior year. While in graduate school, I spent 3 seasons with the St. Louis Rams as an NFL Cheerleader. After relocating to Chicago, I hoped to continue dancing and I am proud to say I am now in my 5th season with the Chicago Bulls!
Describe the feeling of performing at a Bulls playoff game.
Indescribable! The intensity of the United Center during playoff games is astonishing. The fans come together and cheer so loudly, the vibrations can be felt on the court below our feet!
What is your proudest accomplishment to date and where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Two years ago I started and currently act as Executive Director of a non-profit organization. The organization raises money to create and fund sports programs for underprivileged youth throughout the Midwest. We have had incredible success in our first few years and I am proud of the support the community has given to keep our youth active and healthy! In the next 10 years, I hope to continue to oversee growth in the organization and provide opportunities for as many children as possible.
What does being a member of the Luvabulls mean to you?
Being a member of the Luvabulls and the Chicago Bulls organization is an incredible honor. My fellow teammates are some of the most intelligent, talented and amazing women I know. I am proud to be able to represent Chicago alongside them. Community involvement has always been important to me, and the Luvabulls organization allows me the opportunity to give back to the community while pushing me to be the best person, and role model, I can be.
What do you do for a living?
I am a Business Development Manager. I spend my day finding new clients and establishing relationships, as well as providing account management to current clients.
What is your claim to fame - besides being a Luvabull?
I once performed alongside The Temptations during an NFL Halftime Show!
What people do you admire the most and how have they supported or inspired you as a dancer?
I admire my family so much. They have supported me 100% in everything I have done. My parents have always encouraged me to stay active, both mentally and physically. I am so proud of each of my 4 siblings, for their individual successes and the people they have grown to become. They keep me grounded and focused and have always shown me the utmost support and encouragement.
