Nicole
Age:
28 | Birthday: January 17

Hometown:
Kettering, OH

Occupation:
Project Manager

Marital Status:
Single

College:
University of Cincinnati; Cincinnati, OH

Nickname(s):
My family calls me “Niki” [please note: they are the only ones with the privilege to do this : )]

Dance Experience:
Although I started ballet lessons when I was two, I was quickly moved to a gymnastics class due to my high energy and aptitude for acrobatics. I went on to be a competitive gymnast and cheerleader throughout my childhood and high school years. However, in college I tried out for the University of Cincinnati Dance Team and secured a spot for each of my four years, dancing my way through football and basketballs games and competing each year at UDA Nationals in Orlando, FL.

After graduating in 2001, I stored the dance shoes and, aside from weddings and social events, did not dance. Believe it or not, the first time I dusted off the dancing shoes and put them back on was the day of the Luvabulls’ auditions. Words cannot describe how happy I was to make the team! Although it has been, and will continue to be, an immense amount of hard work to assimilate myself back into dancing/performing world, I am enjoying every minute of it!

Career Goals:
To always be in a position that challenges me and provides opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

Lifetime Goal:
To love strongly, live freely and laugh often.

Three Words to Describe Me:
Adventurous, Creative, Determined

Best Advice or Quote:
A former mentor gave my favorite quote to me. Although the author is unknown, this writer’s words always remind me to take risks and to not fear the unknown. “When you come to the edge of all the light you know and are about to step into the darkness of the unknown – Faith is knowing that one of two things will happen: There will be solid ground to stand on or you will be taught to fly.”

I am happiest when…
I am cooking and/or baking, especially when I know guests will be coming over to enjoy the cuisine.

My claim to fame is…
My uncanny ability to emulate a few of Jim Carrey’s faces.

Most unusual job…
Was being an ice cream scooper at Friendly’s Ice Cream Parlor.

Most people don’t know this about me…
I have aspirations to be an author and illustrator of children’s books

Most embarrassing moment was…
I do not have enough writing space to go into detail, but let’s just say it involved attempting to “bare foot” off a Malibu boat’s boom bar on Norris Lake in Tennessee, for which I ended up hitting a perfect “Superman” position in the air before implanting my face into the water so hard I thought my eyeballs would pop out. The video of this attempt is hilarious and always entertaining to my friends.

My passions are…
Family unity, food, organization, and cancer awareness/prevention

Favorite Food:
Ester Price Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries

Favorite Movie:
Gladiator Luvabulls

Favorite Book:
“The Five People You Meet in Heaven” by Mitch Albom

I stay home to watch:
Nothing. I would always rather do something more active than sitting around.

If I could vacation anywhere, I’d…
Go to Lake Tahoe and take an Adventure Tour. Then, depending on weather, would either ski, fish or go wakeboarding.

The person/people I most admire are…
Those that are honest, committed to their family, and follow their dreams.

My proudest accomplishment to date is…
Running two marathons and competing in six triathlons

What is the best advice you could give to children…
I will borrow George Washington Carver’s words for my advice: “How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.”

What is the best gift you have ever received?
Every year of my childhood my parent’s gave my seven siblings and me an incredible gift ~ a family vacation. Not only did these vacations enable us to see a large amount of the United States, they more importantly created memories to last a lifetime.

Name two people you would like to have dinner with:
Number one, my mother (she passed away in 2002). Number two – Will Ferrell.

What would you like to be doing in five years?
Preparing for a month long backpacking journey to Europe, while working on my second novel at my new home that is in the process of being remodeled by yours truly.
