Meet Luvabull Mai
Hi, I'm 24 years old, I'm from Tokyo and I went to Obirin University in Japan (I have a B.A. in English Literature.) I also have a teaching credential for junior high and high school. My nickname is MaiMai, pretty easy, just like MyMy.
Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Pom squad. I started to dance when I was a junior-high school student at Baton Twirling club. I continued until high school. After graduating high school, I was a member and captain of dance team that had competed for the National competitions in Japan, NDA at Orland, and performed for professional basketball league. Then I studied abroad for the Broadway Dance Center in New York City for one year.
To always be happy and meet people in all over the world as much as I can. It is important thing for me to meet people and learn from them and raise a family someday.

Why I chose to be a Luvabull
To be an NBA dancer has been my aspiration since I was a University student. I decided to take an audition for Luvabulls by intuition. Of course Chicago Bulls is known as a famous NBA team in Japan. I'm proud of being a member of the long-established team!
Christmas! I really love to walk in the town decorated with lamps and stuffed toys! Listening to Christmas songs, seeing blankets of snow. Nothing is left to be desired!
Notting Hill, Sister act 1&2, Tristan and Isolde
I'm not afraid of mistakes! I always do what's in my heart.
Book I'm reading now
Keigo Higashino's books. I hope they can be translated into English!
Favorite type of music
R&B and Jazz
How do friends see you (three words)
A passionate, emotional striver
My proudest accomplishment to date is
The moment that I heard my number at last cut for the Luvabull's audition!
What is the best gift you have ever received?
My family! They are always supporting me wherever I go. And so much love from beautiful people who I have met in Japan, New York and Chicago in my lifetime!
I would like to contribute for the United States and Japan such as teaching Japanese, or sharing culture in various fields.
