2010-11 Luvabulls: Meet Lisa
Western Michigan University
What does being a member of the Luvabulls mean to you?
Being a Luvabull means so much to me. It means being a part of a family made up of amazing, wonderful and talented women. As a member of the Luvabulls, I am given the opportunity to enjoy doing something I love, while experiencing being a part of something much bigger.
How has your dancing experience led you to this point?
I started dancing when I was seven years old. I continued to dance throughout my four years of college. Upon graduation, I knew I wanted to continue to dance. I loved dancing as well as the game of basketball, so it seemed like a perfect fit for me to be a part of the Chicago Luvabulls.
What people do you admire the most and how have they supported or inspired you as a dancer?
This is an easy one for me. I admire my parents. They are the perfect role models of what qualities I admire and what I strive for in myself. They support me in any way they can and truly enjoy making our family a priority in their lives. One example of this is that throughout the years, they have attended almost all of my dance performances.
What is your proudest accomplishment to date and where do you see yourself in 10 years?
My proudest accomplishment is graduating Summa Cum Laude from W.M.U. while being active in a sorority, being on the dance team, and studying abroad. When I look to my future, ten years seems quite a long ways away. However, wherever I am or whatever I am doing, I want to be happy, healthy, and successful. I would like to be close to my family and friends, happily married, and hopefully have a couple little ones I can dance with.
